How It All Began
Before New Vision Landscaping became a full design–build–maintain company, it began with long days in trees — learning discipline, risk management, and respect for the craft.

Our Story
New Vision Landscaping was founded in 2017 with a clear vision: deliver quality craftsmanship while creating meaningful opportunity for the people behind the work.
The roots of the company go back years before that. What started as hands-on experience in tree work and arboriculture evolved into construction, softscape installation, and eventually full-scale landscape development. Working alongside respected companies in the industry helped shape the standards we hold today — high expectations, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
In the early days, New Vision focused heavily on tree trimming and removal while steadily building experience in landscape construction. As the company grew, so did the vision. Partnerships formed, strengths combined, and the foundation of a true design–build–maintain operation took shape.
Meeting Michael Davis of Emerald Gardens marked a turning point. His focus on design and horticulture paired naturally with our strength in construction and installation. By combining those disciplines, New Vision evolved into a company capable of delivering complete, thoughtfully planned outdoor environments.
Today, New Vision Landscaping operates as a full-service design–build–maintain company serving homeowners, HOAs, and commercial properties throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Our team is built on discipline, collaboration, and a commitment to long-term relationships — not quick installs.

James founded New Vision Landscaping in 2017 with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and long-term thinking. With a background in arboriculture and construction, he leads with clear vision and high standards — building landscapes and teams designed to last.
Keegan Sonsthagen
IT Program Developer & Team Leader
Keegan has been part of New Vision Landscaping since its early years, contributing to the company’s operational growth and internal development. With a focus on systems, accountability, and team coordination, he helps streamline processes and support field leadership.
Michael Davis
Landscape Designer & Horticulturist
Michael brings decades of landscape design experience and deep horticultural knowledge to New Vision Landscaping. With roots in a multi-generational nursery background, he leads the creative direction behind many of our projects — ensuring each landscape is thoughtfully planned and built to perform long term.
Mike Scorsone
Senior Maintenance Lead
Mike brings years of maintenance experience and mechanical expertise to New Vision Landscaping. With a strong background in equipment repair and operations, he plays an essential role in keeping our crews prepared and our maintenance division running smoothly. Known for his reliability and steady leadership in the field, Mike helps ensure our clients receive consistent, high-quality service.

Office & Operations Administrator
Michael supports the operational backbone of New Vision Landscaping, helping ensure projects and maintenance services run smoothly behind the scenes. He oversees administrative coordination, estimate entry, billing, and maintenance route scheduling. His attention to detail and organizational focus help keep daily operations efficient and structured throughout the busy season.
Jose Araiza
Maintenance & Softscape Specialist
Jose brings years of hands-on experience to New Vision Landscaping and is known for his dependability in the field. He plays an important role in both maintenance and softscape operations, often leading crews on routine service work and supporting installation projects. His versatility and strong work ethic allow him to contribute across divisions, from detailed planting work to equipment operation and construction support.
